My name is Angela and my husband ‘s name is Angel Chan. My husband Angel is 78 years old and I am 73. In1991 my husband and I were sitting in our living room and we received a knock on the door. Much to our surprise, a man presented himself as Pastor Timothy Emerick. He told us about the love of God and how it could change our lives. Our marriage was going through many problems and we never heard the gospel prior to this time. I thank God that Pastor Tim took the time to go door-to-door and speak to people about the love of the God that day will be in my memory for ever.
The message burned in our hearts, and we repented of our sins and accepted the Lord Jesus as our Lord and Savior. We have no regrets after so many years of still living for Jesus. It was the smartest and most important decision of our lives that we’ve ever made. God has continually blessed us with his love through many years and has never left us.
We are writing this letter as encouragement and congratulations to brother Robert for serving God. We have learned from Pastor Tim and his wife that Robert who is serving a life sentence in prison for a gang related shooting. Pastor Tim and his wife have spent many hours in discipleship with Robert because they knew the call on his life to serve God. He completed a two-year Bible Institute and served as an assistant pastor to us when we’re teaching in the prison.
I just learned that Robert will be licensed as a resident inmate pastor for Harvest Evangelistic Association. Brother Robert, I have learned that your story is very inspiring and impactful to others. Please do not be afraid or timid to speak about the good news that God has delivered to your life. Remember in every situation he is with you. And in every situation, He will help you and give you wisdom. As you know from Hebrews 11, there are many heroes of faith mentioned. I suggest to you to read that chapter time again and understand that you are modern day hero for many people. When you get a chance, please read 1st Timothy 2:4.
