Help for Pastor Ashik in Bangladesh

Greetings from Bangladesh from Pastor Ashik who oversees the ministry we are supporting.

He is in charge of providing bible studies to many children and to win people to Jesus who are Muslim. They are doing a great job working for the Lord Jesus!
They have just experienced devastating monsoon rain which has destroyed their home and the city where they live.
We are asking if you could send us a tax-free donation of any amount so we may help them rebuild their home.

You can send your donation to our mailing address Harvest Evangelistic Association PO Box 934 Rosamond, CA. 93560 or to our Zelle account
To HarvestEvangelisticAssociation@aol.com

Thank you,
Claudia and Timothy Emerick

Set the Standard!

Set the Standard!
“Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.” Psalms 112: 1-3; New Living Translation

In the scripture today we can see the benefit of people who are godly. But what does the word godly mean? According to Vines Complete Expository Dictionary of the Old and New Testament Words one definition of the word godly means to be honest, just or to act right. Vines Dictionary states that it is a just or godly person who sets the standard for doing right. This standard is not set my men but by God. The godly person is a person who stands by their word. It is a person who does right to other people.

We live in a world where most people want to take short cuts to get ahead. If they need to lie a little to get ahead that’s OK. If they need to cheat a little to get ahead that’s OK. If they need to cheat on their taxes that’s OK. If they want to make money quickly by using false advertising, it’s OK. If they have a business and they offer inferior quality to make money, that’s OK. If they have to lie and say falsehoods to get ahead, that’s OK. It is OK to the world but not to God.

My father told me many times when I was growing up that all a person has is their word. If you can’t trust the word of a person, you can’t trust the person. He also stated that a person who lies to you will eventually steal from you. Our word is all we have to offer to demonstrate who and what we are made of.

Can people trust in your word? Are you a person of your word? When you say you will do something will you do it at the time you state you would do it? Do you lie or cheat to get ahead? Remember the blessings of being a godly person is not only for you but for generations to come in your family. What you do today echoes throughout eternity. By what standard do you live by?

Remember what you sow is what you will reap!

Our doctor Jesus!

Our doctor Jesus!
And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. Acts 10:38, New Living Translation (NLT).

Have you seen your children lying sick with fever and we wished to take their place so they wouldn’t have to suffer. Well, that is what Jesus did for you and me! It says in I Peter 2: 24, “By his wounds you are healed.” You don’t know how many times I have seen the healing power of God touch people and make them whole. I have a good friend who name is Jeff and he is a Christian and a therapist and prays for his patients and God heals them. The Bibles states that those who believe in Christ will pray for the sick and God will heal them (Mark 16: 15-16).

Are you sick? The scripture is clear stating that sickness comes from the devil not from God. God does not want you to be sick. God wants you whole, full of life, energy and happiness. As you love your children and you don’t want them to be sick neither does God because He loves you even more! God does not want you sick. If you are tired of being sick emotionally, psychologically, physically, or spiritually please repeat these words out loud with me.

Dear God, I thank you Jesus that you took all of my diseases. Thank you by your power. I am whole and full of energy and I have power. I thank you that in Jesus I am complete. I lack nothing! I thank you Jesus that you live in me and I live for you. I thank you God that I have received everything that I have just confessed. Amen.

What is your excuse?

What is your excuse?
“He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.” Ecc. 11:4 (AMP).

This scripture speaks about a person that looks at the storms of life and waits and says I am not going to help others until all of the conditions in my life are perfect. God has called us in the middle of a dark and confused world to minister to people. We must remember that conditions will never be perfect to help others. But many people have many excuses for not serving God. We say that we are too old, too young, I don’t have time, I don’t have any money, I have too many of my own problems, it’s too hard, too early, I don’t know how to do this, I have kids, or I am taking care of my business, etc. What are we really saying to God? We are saying do not disturb me.

We must understand if we stand around waiting for everything to be perfect to serve God we will never sow into people’s lives. If we don’t sow we will never reap what God has for us. We must be ready to be used by God when it is convenient or inconvenient. But we are addicted to being convenient. If we go shopping and the escalator does not work we start to complain instead giving thanks to God that we have two good legs. We are addicted to entertainment and think that we should be entertained all of the time.

We don’t like to see the ugliest in the world because it means we have to do something to alleviate the pain and suffering of others. We need to get our eyes off of ourselves and reach out to others. We don’t need to pray if we should help people. God has called us to be the light in the middle of a dark world. If you don’t sow you will not reap. You need to sow time, money, mercy, compassion, patience, and love to reap these very same things when we will need them. Get your head out of the clouds, look around and help someone in need. Find someone who right now needs help and help them!

Do you want to make God happy? Help somebody!

The Doctrines of Baptisms

The Doctrines of Baptisms
Introduction

The word baptizes (βαπτίζω) in Greek means to be dipped or immersed in water. Water baptism is not necessary for salvation. When a person is born again, they are baptized into the body of Christ. Water baptism is a recognition making a public statement that you are a Christian. Baptism refers to the person in their entirety, spirit, soul, and body and is an act of total surrender to Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The following scriptures are in Matthew 26: 23. Mark 14: 20. John 13 :26 -27th.
The next scripture is in Hebrews 6:1-6 In verse 2 we see the word in plural baptisms. There are three types of baptism mentioned in scripture.
The first example of baptism John the Baptist preached repentance and the people were baptized. Matthew 3:13-17. It is here Jesus set the pattern or example of how one is to be baptized in water.
The second baptism is Matthews 28:19 where Jesus says go ye and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
The third baptism the New Testament is Acts 1:5, which speaks about the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Day of Pentecost.

Death & Resurrection
Romans 6:2-7

“Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.

Baptism speaks off the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For those who were baptized it means death of your former lifestyle. And coming up out of the water is your resurrection to living a new life in the power of God. The Apostle Paul wants us to understand that we are dead to sin. That means we are not going to give place to sin in our lives. And we will be guided by the Holy Spirit who gives us the power over sin and Satan.

What does it Mean to follow Jesus in Bangladesh?

What does it Mean to follow Jesus in Bangladesh?
Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:3.

We would like to introduce you to Pastor Ashik and his wife who are ministering in Bangladesh. We have just begun to support them in their endeavor to win people for Christ!

History:
87% of Bangladeshis are Sunni Muslims and 2% are Shia Muslim. Approxiamtely1/2 of 1% are Christians. Bangladesh is one of the poorest countries in the World.
Local Muslim authorities, and Islamic extremists’ groups, families and communities persecute Christians.

Ministry:
Pastor Ashik and his wife work in rural areas which is difficult. Many Christian groups meet publicly, while other worship in private unregistered churches. When Muslims convert to Christianity, they are often forced to leave their community. He and his wife have a real heart to win children for Jesus! He states winning children for Jesus will save them from many problems in their lives.

We are asking that you help us to support pastor Ashik and his wife as they reach out to their communities with the gospel. Any amount of money you send to us will go to this ministry.
Remember Proverbs 19:17. “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord! And He will repay him for his deeds”

Tortured in Libya!

Tortured in Libya!

What it means to follow Christ in Libya?
Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:3.

Libya has remained unstable and chaotic since the overthrow of its dictator in 2011.Three opposing governments via for control, and the conflicts have severely damaged the country’s infrastructure and made the gospel work extremely dangerous. Many missionaries and believers have been killed in recent years. The extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood and the self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISSI), operate throughout the country.

The major religion in Libya is 97% of Libyans are Sunni Muslims. 2% are Christian.
Life is very difficult and the difficulties are compounded for Christians and especially Christian converts from Islam. There are very few believers in Libya, and it is extremely difficult for them to practice their faith openly. Christians are rejected by their Muslim families and friends. They are beaten, lose families and jobs, and sometimes are killed. It is unknown how many Christians are imprisoned in Libya.

Access to Bibles is severely restricted; they are brought into the country with extreme difficulty and risk even death for the mere possession of owning a bible. Please pray for them earnestly as if you had a loved one trying to survive under these dire circumstances.

Over the years, my wife and I have supported this organization. We are asking you to pray for persecuted Christians in Afghanistan and your economic support to:

First, we want to express our sincere gratitude that you have offered us both in your prayers and financial support. Please continue to pray for all the different outreaches involved so the Lord can open more doors. The following information is to help everyone understand the extent of your ministry.

We are using the system called GTL Getting Out to contact inmates. This allows us to communicate and send teaching with over 100 inmates at various State Prisons. We sent out teachings to 100 inmates 2 to 3 times per week. This is 4000 teachings sent via CDCR Messenger Tablet Services. We have approximately 100 people who are attending both Sunday services at the Lancaster State Prison conducted by our Inmate Pastor Robert Lopez. They are trying to obtain a larger room because CDCR will not let more people attend due to limited seating capacity. Pastor Robert and his team are conducting on-going evangelism and over 80 men have accepted Jesus in which they are receiving the teachings we send to them as well as personal visits from Pastor Robert to each of these men’s cells.

We have produced 194 teachings on our YouTube channel and on our Community Channel link both English and Spanish. This involved an approximate total of 600 hours of prayer, research, and development in making the videos and teachings. We have 235 people who have subscribed to the channel as of this year. We have had this year a total of 9,966 views of the videos we have developed. And on the website, we have had 9,000 views from 23 different countries around the world. We also have reached out this year via LinkedIn and had 60,554 views of the teaching we have provided both in English and Spanish.

We have a total of 1,632 ministry contacts on our iPhone to send teachings and other worthy news to report. We sent bi-monthly teachings of 1.632 x 2= 3,264. We we multiple this by 12 months it comes to a total of 39,168 teachings sent in 2024 to our ministry contacts via our iPhone.

The ministry brought in a total of $19,906.00. We have contributed to people and organizations a total of $3440.00. The remainder of the funds, $16,166.00 covered ministry expenses for auto and insurance costs, office expenses, postage expenses, telephone expenses, and expenses to keep up the website growing and helping people to learn the Word of God. As you know Dr. Emerick and his wife Claudia do not receive any income from their services.

Rev. Robert Lopez is Our Newly Licensed Inmate Prison Pastor

Greetings, my name is Robert and I’m an inmate at the Lancaster State Prison. This is my diploma in which I graduated from a two-year study of the Holy Scriptures delivered by Dr. Timothy Emerick of the Harvest Evangelistic Association Bible Institute. I have been serving teaching for over a year now and Dr. Timothy Emerick has officially Licensed me as the Inmate Prison Pastor in Lancaster State Prison for Harvest Evangelistic Association. I have now graduated and have been promoted to be Inmate Pastor licensed from Harvest Evangelistic Association. I am currently discipling other inmates and I am responsible for conducting the English & Spanish Speaking Sunday services.

Before I came to the Lord Jesus Christ, I was a gang member and criminal. I was angry, resentful, and a miserable person. I allowed my circumstances to change the course of my life. At the age of 16, I was sentenced to die in prison for murder. I take responsibility for my actions and I didn’t care at that time about the harm that I caused to my victims and their families. While in prison I was a very violent person and in 2016 I was sentenced to the Security Housing Unit for two years in Pelican Bay for attacking and stabbing another inmate. This is called Solitary Confinement and it is a prison within a prison.

I am a born-again believer and now teach and pastor as the Christian Protestant Services every Sunday.

This is a picture of those who participated in The Actors Drama Presentation in Avenal State Prison on July 24th, 2024.

The participation by inmates in these types of programs helps them act different types of scenes and characters that helps them in their rehabilitation.

Alejandro receives on-going teachings from us now at this prison. We stay in contact with many inmates at different state prisons through an app called Getting Out. You can see Alejandro’s testimony Praise Reports when he was part of our ministry at Lancaster State Prison before his transfer to Avenal.

I have been in prison for now 13 years. I grew up without a father and my mother tried her very best to help me but I listened to the “Street” rather than my mother’s advice. I was living a criminal lifestyle as a careless and reckless and dangerous kid. I had turned to gangs to find a sense of myself, love, acceptance, self-worth, and empowerment. Being immature and impulsive, I committed a lot of crimes out of resentment and anger, I got deeper involved in the gang life. My aim was to become the most dangerous gang member to build a reputation for myself on the streets. In doing this I believed that I was going to gain the love from those who I want to be accepted and respected and feared by. I grew up with a callous heart and my affiliation with gangs was fueled by anger and hurt towards myself and my family. This destructive lifestyle I chose let me to commit to assault and a murder wrongly killing another gang member. A month after I turned 18 years, I was arrested, tried and convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the crimes I committed.
