1. Begin to rely on the works of the law, not the sovereign operation of the Holy
Spirit = Legalism
2. Begin to rely on the flesh = Carnality
3. Under a curse (Gal. 3:10 [Jer. 17:5–6])
C. The remedy: Christ crucified (Gal. 3:13–14)
1. Jesus became a curse that we might be redeemed
2. He took our rebellion; He endured all its evil consequences
3. Confess grieving the Holy Spirit
